Aspen Dental in Brooksville, FL is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. You will perform daily duties to support patient care, assist physicians, and maintain sterile operatory workflow with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications include state license, radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and 2+ years as a Dental Assistant. You will train staff, follow OSHA/HIPAA guidelines, and participate in continuing education while contributing to a collaborative, patient‑centered practice.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant License/Certification as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• Current CPR or BLS certificate.
• 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate sterilization and infection control techniques.
• Maintain and update annual CE requirement as specified by state.
• State Certification in expanded functions as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory; ensure training and compliance.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, suction lines, autoclave, and compressor.
• Prepare trays and operatory setup for procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
