Orange County Property in Orlando, FL is seeking a Specialist I, Exemptions to provide exemption information and assist taxpayers by telephone, in writing, and in person. The role involves reviewing eligibility for homestead and other exemptions and supporting the Exemption Department with documentation and case processing.

Qualified candidates have at least two years of related experience and an Associate’s degree, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a PA or related field.
• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent; two years of PA or related experience.
• Proficiency with Internet software, Excel, Word, Outlook; Adobe Acrobat for PDFs.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of staff and adapt to a hybrid work environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist the public with exemption applications (homestead and other exemptions).
• Review applications and determine eligibility for exemptions.
• Maintain and organize exemption documentation and processing materials.
• Process exempt status changes and related forms; support in transfers and portabilit y tasks.
