Job summary
Boyd Gaming Corporation in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Casino Manager to direct the overall operation of table games, slots, and race & sportsbook, and to lead the casino team to deliver outstanding guest service.
The role requires strategic budgeting, compliance with state and company policies, and the ability to hire and develop talent while maintaining security of assets and a competitive market position.
Qualifications
- Five years of casino management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of casino games, rules, procedures and regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain/maintain required licenses and certifications.
Responsibilities
- Direct the overall operation of the table games, slot operations, slot performance, and race and sportsbook areas.
- Ensure security of property assets and maximize guest satisfaction and employee morale.
- Develop short- and long-term goals for revenue, expense and capital.
- Monitor and analyze costs and prepare budgets.
- Review reports and directives with supervisors to plan department activities.
- Assign or delegate responsibility for specified work and disseminate policy to managers.
- Develop casino, ensuring compliance with state and company requirements.
- Maintain current information on laws and regulations affecting gaming operations.
- Initiate or authorize hiring, promotion, discharge, or transfer.
- Take reasonable risks to keep the casino product current and competitive.
