Job summary

Science and Engineering Services, LLC seeks a Systems Engineer III to lead technical execution across multiple military aviation programs, spanning rotary- and fixed-wing platforms. You will interface with customers, head IPTs, and steer SRR/PDR/CDR milestones.

The role requires 12+ years in military aerospace, strong leadership, and expertise in MBSE tools like Cameo and 3DExperience. On-site at Huntsville, you will coordinate architecture, requirements, risk, and test activities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive systems engineering experience in military aerospace/defense.
• Proven leadership of IPTs and ability to present to military customers.
• Experience in both rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal technical interface for military customers and external stakeholders.
• Lead multidisciplinary IPTs to drive technical execution and program alignment.
• Plan and lead SRR, PDR, and CDR milestones for aviation programs.
• Manage systems engineering across concurrent programs in aviation.
• Define and maintain robust system architectures using MBSE tools.
• Oversee requirements decomposition, traceability, and risk management.
• Drive V&V planning, test case definition, and data analysis.
• Act as the bridge between engineering, management, quality, manufacturing, and operations.
