Qualifications

• Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training.
• Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
• Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
• Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive support including Administrative, Academic, Projects, Clinical, and Surgical Care Coordination.
• Support Thoracic Surgical Oncology Faculty in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Division within the Cardiovascular Institute (CVI).
• Oversee administrative services and general operations of the department, including finance, human resources, IT, facilities and student services.
• Engage in long and short-range strategic planning to direct activities of multi-disciplinary departments.
