Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Two years previous experience as a unit secretary/coordinator in a large healthcare environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; strong data entry skills.
• Superb customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage provider orders including scheduling patient appointments.
• Answer telephones and interact with patients, families, MDs, RNs, and other departments in person and on the phone.
• Provide patient care support under the direction of licensed personnel; cross-train to other units as needed.
• Schedule procedures in the department's Epic Snapboard; maintain a courteous atmosphere for patients and staff.
