Job summary

SSA Group at Oklahoma City Zoo is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The role reports to the Executive Chef and leads kitchen staff, develops training programs, and ensures quality and safety in all food production areas.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of sous chef experience in high-volume environments, a culinary degree, and relevant certifications. This full-time, on-site position offers competitive benefits and a dynamic, guest-focused work culture.

Qualifications

• Three to five years Junior Sous Chef or similar high-volume kitchen experience.
• ServSafe or Food Handling certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HAACP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, evaluate, reward, and coach kitchen personnel.
• Train kitchen staff in SOPs, equipment, and food production principles.
• Direct and coordinate production and dish room staff to ensure standards and quality.
• Monitor temperatures and food safety, maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
