Job summary

Cobalt Benefits Group is seeking a seasoned National Accounts Account Executive to lead our largest clients (1000+ lives). The role requires building trusted executive partnerships, delivering proactive insights, and guiding complex benefit strategies.

You will collaborate with the National Accounts team, brokers, and internal leaders to ensure seamless service, drive renewals and growth, and present data-driven recommendations. Travel up to 30–40% is required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in national account management or benefits consulting.
• Proven success engaging at the C-suite and presenting to senior leadership teams.
• Strong knowledge of self-funded health plans, stop-loss, and large group benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary executive-facing contact for national account clients and their brokers.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior HR, finance, and benefits leaders.
• Lead quarterly/annual plan performance meetings with metrics, trends, and recommendations.
• Represent Cobalt at executive-level client meetings and industry conferences.
• Provide proactive insights on industry trends, compliance updates, and cost drivers.
• Collaborate with Sales and Underwriting to drive renewals, upsell opportunities, and revenue growth.
