Job summary

InvestedintheMission is seeking an Associate VP, LMS Program Management to lead strategic execution of complex LMS programs. You will drive portfolio strategy, oversee contracts, and ensure on-time delivery, profitability, and regulatory compliance across government and commercial work.

Partner with executive leadership to optimize program execution, improve PMO processes, and develop talent while coordinating with engineering, operations, and finance to meet growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Advanced degree, MBA or MS is highly preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant experience with weapon systems, military market, competitors, and technologies.
• Minimum of 8 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven track record leading complex, high-value government and commercial development programs.
• Demonstrated success driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Strong financial acumen and contract management expertise.
• Experience with production operations.
• Experience managing a department or project budget.
• Self-starting, results-driven mindset.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for LMS programs and multi-million-dollar contracts.
• Oversee a diverse program portfolio and manage risks to achieve objectives.
• Lead proposal strategy, contract negotiations, and business acquisition efforts.
• Develop and enforce PM standards, tools, and metrics across LMS programs.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance for resource alignment.
• Establish budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics with executive reporting.
