Job summary

Harvard University’s HGSE seeks a Director of Construction and Capital Programs to lead the multi-year capital building and renewal program, aligning investments with teaching, research, and community needs. You will oversee planning, budgeting, design oversight, and project delivery across campuses, engaging faculty, administrators, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in capital project delivery or related leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, planning, engineering, construction management, or related field required.
• Extensive knowledge of construction processes, project controls, budgeting, and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated leadership and delivery of HGSE’s multi-year capital building and renewal program.
• Oversee project delivery from planning through construction and occupancy, ensuring scope, budget, schedule and quality.
• Develop and execute the School’s capital plan in collaboration with HGSE and Harvard leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, permitting, accessibility, and inspection requirements.
