Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an Executive Director of Facilities and Campus Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for HMS and HSDM. You will oversee 2.1 million sq ft across HMS and coordinate with 110K sq ft at HSDM, managing a large team, budgets, and vendor relationships.

The role drives safety, reliability, and sustainability while aligning facilities plans with organizational missions and ensuring high-quality service delivery across teaching, research, and clinical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in facilities management, engineering, or related field.
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible facilities management experience.
• At least five years in supervisory or management roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, repair, and stewardship of buildings, utilities, grounds, and infrastructure.
• Develop short- and long-range facilities plans aligned with institutional missions.
• Lead facilities energy management, sustainability, and continuity planning.
• Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and service delivery with a focus on safe, reliable operations.
• Lead and develop a team, plus oversee 150+ vendors and service providers.
