Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead design, bid, construction and turnover of campus infrastructure projects at HMS and affiliated facilities.

You will coordinate with campus planning, facilities, sustainability and academic stakeholders to meet scope, schedule and budget goals while maintaining rigorous compliance and safety standards. A minimum of eight years in university or large institutional settings is preferred, with expertise in lab environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field required.
• Minimum eight years of relevant experience in project management.
• Experience in university or large institutional settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, bid, construction and turnover of projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop and manage scope, schedule, and budget with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Planning Department and University groups for approvals and permits.
• Oversee bids, proposals, contracts, and procurement processes.
• Ensure projects meet goals, standards, and safety requirements.
• Communicate status and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage closeout, documentation, and final budget reconciliation.
