Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; Architecture; Construction; Project Management; or Urban Planning.
• Five to seven years of progressive management of large planning, design, and construction projects; or five to seven years of managerial experience in planning, design, and construction fields.
• Must be computer literate in MS Office, the Google Workspace suite, and fluent in project planning and scheduling software.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal skills for daily interaction with faculty, staff, clients, managers, and public agency officials.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare clear reports, matrices, and presentations.
• Licensed professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction to project managers leading teams of architects, engineers, builders, and specialists.
• Ensures project management activities meet approvals, budgets, and schedules.
• Manages design reviews, inspections, change orders, and pricing justifications.
• Monitors unit performance and ensures activities meet requirements.
• Supports turnover to operations with documentation, training, and closeout approvals.
• Leads management of a large portfolio of capital work annually.
