Summit Staffing Partners' client, a prestigious investment firm, seeks a System Administrator / IT Support Engineer to join a security-conscious technology team on-site in Washington, DC. The role supports executives and staff across hardware, software, and network needs.

You will manage Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and endpoint security, while driving automation and documentation improvements in a high-touch, professional setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on IT support in a corporate environment.
• Strong experience with Windows and Mac environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange, networking, and endpoint management.
• Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote technical support for executives and employees.
• Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Mac workstations, devices, and peripherals.
• Administer core Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Exchange.
• Support remote access, endpoint security, and cloud-based applications.
• Lead IT initiatives including hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, software deployments, and patching.
• Collaborate with teams on onboarding, offboarding, and access management.
• Maintain accurate documentation, asset inventory, and knowledge base articles.
• Coordinate with vendors to implement and resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
