Job summary

SOUTHERN AVENUE CHARTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF ACADEMIC EXCELL seeks an HR & Executive Operations Specialist to partner with the CHRO and run a high-functioning HR department in a dynamic charter school environment.

You will coordinate recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, HR reporting, payroll support, and executive assistance onsite in Memphis, TN, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and professional communication at all times.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in HR, office management, or combined HR/administrative support.
• Charter school or education environment experience a plus.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with CHRO to map priorities, action items, and deadlines.
• Coordinate recruiting: post roles, manage applicant flow, screenings, interviews, offers.
• Oversee onboarding and benefits administration; ensure documentation compliance.
• Generate HR reports and track KPIs; assist data analysis in Paycom.
• Support payroll processes and ensure accuracy in payroll runs.
• Manage employee files and confidential documentation.
• Draft communications and assist executive scheduling.
