Restaurant Associates, the industry’s leading provider of dining and event catering for museums, performing arts centers, and corporations in San Francisco, is seeking a General Manager to lead a high-profile dining operation.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, financial performance, client relationships, and team development, while delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hospitality, foodservice, corporate dining, restaurant, hotel, or multi-unit operations.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, guests, and team members.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and operational performance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to developing people and creating an environment where teams can thrive.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.
• Passion for hospitality, service excellence, and delivering meaningful guest experiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience managing large-scale foodservice or corporate dining operations.
• Background leading multiple service platforms, including cafés, catering, executive dining, retail, or conference services.
• Experience with financial planning, forecasting, and client management.
• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for foodservice operations, ensuring a positive guest, client, and team experience.
• Develop partnerships with clients and serve as primary contact for needs and initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and support managers and associates through communication and recognition.
• Manage financial performance: budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, and costs.
• Monitor standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with culinary and hospitality teams to enhance dining programs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and safety standards.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to inform business decisions.
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, service-focused culture.
