Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a seasoned events program manager to lead complex corporate meetings and incentives in the United States. You will own planning from kickoff through onsite execution, directing teams, suppliers, and budgets over $1M.

This role requires seven+ years of experience, expertise with Cvent, and the ability to collaborate with producers and executive clients to deliver high-profile programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years planning corporate meetings, events, and incentives.
• Experience managing programs from kickoff to reconciliation with budgets >$1M.
• Proven ability to lead onsite teams of 10+ and handle multi-day exec programs.
• Clear decision ownership with producer or client owner.
• Strong hotel and supplier contract skills including attrition and cancellations.
• Expertise with Cvent and enterprise project tools.
• CMP preferred; incentive travel experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan complex programs from kickoff through onsite execution and close.
• Serve as planning lead beside the producer and manage timelines.
• Build and reconcile program budgets with forecasts and data.
• Develop detailed calendars and ensure team/supplier dates.
• Manage hotels, venues, transportation, and F&B within rules.
• Coordinate Attendee Experience in Cvent and confirm registrations.
• Lead onsite logistics and mentor Event Managers.
• Document plans and findings for post-program debrief.
• Raise scope, budget, and resourcing risks early with recommendations.
