Job summary

YMCA is seeking an Executive Director of Out-of-School Time to lead afterschool and summer programs across multiple sites. You will direct youth programming for middle and high school students and oversee staff, budgets, and partnerships.

The role emphasizes program development, fundraising, and strategic collaboration with community organizations, with essential certifications and ongoing training requirements noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, education, human services, social services, related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in youth development program management, preferably in a YMCA or licensed child care.
• 2–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for reports and communications.
• Ability to manage budgets, marketing, public relations, and fundraising.
• Experience building collaborations with community organizations.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications or equivalent before start.
• Child Abuse Prevention Training before starting and maintained annually.
• YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OST programming, Summer Learning Loss, and Summer Day Camp at multiple locations.
• Provide leadership and direction for middle and high school youth programming.
• Manage staff, program development and operations, HR, and fiscal operations.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with community organizations.
