YMCA is seeking an Executive Director of Out-of-School Time to lead afterschool and summer programs across multiple sites. You will direct youth programming for middle and high school students and oversee staff, budgets, and partnerships.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, education, human services, social services, related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in youth development program management, preferably in a YMCA or licensed child care.
• 2–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for reports and communications.
• Ability to manage budgets, marketing, public relations, and fundraising.
• Experience building collaborations with community organizations.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications or equivalent before start.
• Child Abuse Prevention Training before starting and maintained annually.
• YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification preferred.

The Executive Director of Out-of-School Time (OST) is responsible for Afterschool Child Care programming, Summer Learning Loss programming, and Summer Day Camp operations at multiple program locations. This position also provides leadership and direction for middle school and high school youth programming. This role oversees the management of staff, program development and operations, human resource management, fiscal management as well as managing strategic partnerships.

1. Bachelor’s degree in recreation, education, human services, social services, related field or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in youth development program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other licensed child care center.
3. Two to five years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
4. Demonstrated computer skills in a Microsoft Office or Google Workspace environment, for communication, reports, and proposals.
5. Ability to direct programs through supervision of staff and volunteers, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fund-raising.
6. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
7. Current Red Cross CPR / AED / First Aid Certifications or equivalent - prior to starting if hired
8. Child Abuse Prevention Training - prior to starting if hired, and maintained annually.
9. YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification preferred
10. Additional training to be completed within the first 30 days and maintained afterwards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to talk, hear, sit, use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands.
• Often required to lift up to twenty-five pounds of weight, climb, balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and may at times require peripheral vision.
