Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a senior Product Owner – Executive Director for the Controls Room to own the STEP application strategy and delivery, aligning 1LOD testing with 2LOD oversight. The role emphasizes AI-enabled capabilities, governance, and rapid iteration with empowered teams.

The position involves coaching a product team, coordinating with design, data, and control testing, and driving adoption through change management and structured communication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience owning and delivering a product across the full product lifecycle with accountability for outcomes.
• Hands-on experience delivering AI-enabled capabilities in production, including model iteration and monitoring.
• Experience incorporating agentic patterns/workflows into products with emphasis on control, transparency, and auditability.
• Proven ability to deliver in an iterative, fast-paced model using short development cycles and small teams.
• Strong stakeholder management across Engineering, UI/UX Design, Data, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive product strategy for STEP and related Controls Room capabilities, aligning vision to 1LOD and 2LOD objectives.
• Lead customer discovery to translate needs into a prioritized roadmap and clear value proposition.
• Lead AI enablement within the product, shaping an AI integration strategy with responsible deployment and monitoring.
• Deliver iteratively using agile practices and small empowered teams to accelerate time-to-value.
• Coach the STEP Product team on best practices for solution generation, market research, and product adoption.
• Partner across lines of defense to identify, validate, and scale reusable testing solutions.
• Own and maintain the product backlog with well-defined epics and acceptance criteria.
• Establish and track success metrics and use data to guide prioritization and investment decisions.
• Act as the voice of the customer to evolve policies, processes, and tooling for adoption.
• Evaluate build vs. partner vs. defer decisions for emerging AI capabilities balancing speed and risk.
• Support go-to-market and change management including launch planning and post-launch support.
