Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks a Product Owner - Executive Director for the Controls Room to own the STEP application strategy and delivery, enabling 1LOD testing and 2LOD oversight.

You will drive AI-enabled features, define metrics, manage backlogs, and lead small teams; collaborate with engineering, design, and risk stakeholders to improve testing, transparency, and control.

Qualifications

• Experience owning and delivering a product across the full lifecycle.
• Hands-on AI-enabled capabilities in production.
• Experience with agentic patterns/workflows with emphasis on control and auditability.
• Proven ability to deliver iteratively with small teams.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple functions.
• Proven track record leading large, complex initiatives.
• Understanding of risk and controls concepts.
• 10 years of experience delivering products or technology at scale.
• Knowledge of product development lifecycle and data analytics.
• Experience driving organizational change and adoption.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive product strategy for STEP and associated Controls Room capabilities.
• Lead customer discovery to translate user needs into a prioritized roadmap.
• Lead AI enablement within the product, shaping AI integration strategy and responsible deployment.
• Deliver iteratively using agile practices and small, empowered teams.
• Coaches and mentors the STEP Product team on best practices and adoption strategies.
• Partners across the line of defense to scale reusable testing solutions.
• Own and maintain the product backlog with well-defined epics and acceptance criteria.
• Establish and track success metrics and use data to guide prioritization.
• Act as the voice of the customer to evolve policies and tooling as needed.
• Evaluate build vs. partner vs. defer decisions for AI capabilities.
• Support go-to-market and change management to drive adoption.
