Merck USA seeks a senior leader for the US Executive Director of Medical Affairs, Payer & Health Systems Oncology (PHS EDMA, Oncology). The role focuses on payer strategy, field medical leadership, and execution of scientific and access priorities across the oncology portfolio.

The successful candidate will drive strategic payer medical plans, integrate insights into CMAP and Global V&I plans, and manage a multi-disciplinary team to deliver results in a heavily matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) required.
• At least 7 years of pharmaceutical industry or payer experience, preferably in oncology.
• Five years of front-line field medical leadership in pharma or payer industries.
• Experience leading strategic initiatives and implementing strategic solutions.
• Strong executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead US payer and access strategy in alignment with CMAP and V&I plans.
• Oversee Field Medical teams and strategic payer medical needs.
• Partner with external alliance groups to drive payer-related initiatives.
• Develop and manage the PHS Oncology budget and ensure compliant spend.
