Merck in North Wales, PA, United States, seeks a senior leader to guide Payer & Health Systems Oncology science engagement. You will shape US payer strategies and oversee field medical teams to execute integrated plans, ensuring alignment with CMAP and global V&I priorities.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage budgets, and partner with external stakeholders to advance oncology access and scientific exchange, with up to 50% travel for leadership and field activities.

Competenze

• Doctoral degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) with demonstrated ability to lead and coach medical colleagues at all levels.
• 7+ years of pharma payer experience, preferably in oncology.
• 5+ years of front-line field medical leadership in pharma or payer industry with PAYOR/ACCESS stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives and accountable for implementation of strategic solutions.
• Experience operating in a complex, matrixed global org and balancing priorities across cross-functional stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn and apply AI tools without deep technical expertise.
• Strong executive communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Deep knowledge of US healthcare ecosystem, HEOR, and payer decision-making.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Mansioni

• Serve as a senior leader in USMA, setting strategic direction for PHS and supervising MAD teams.
• Determine US payer strategy and tactical plans aligning with CMAP and US V&I plans.
• Integrate external payer insights into strategic planning and platform development.
• Lead a complex team of field leaders and PASLs, mentoring with development priorities.
• Establish partnerships with RMSD teams to enhance collaboration across USMA accounts.
• Ensure compliant ways of working across oncology portfolio with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external alliance partners for approved methods.
• Manage annual PHS Oncology budget and approval of program expenses.
