Job summary

State of Mississippi Division of Medicaid (DOM) is seeking a Director of IT Services to lead DOM's enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud modernization, and vendor management. The role reports to the CIO/CTO and directs ITIM, service desk, and delivery operations to ensure high availability and secure, compliant services across the Medicaid program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership or management experience directing technical teams.
• Experience managing enterprise cloud environments (AWS: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, DNS, load balancing, wireless).
• Experience with IT vendor management, contract oversight, SOW development and procurement support.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, CMS ARC-AMPE, and cybersecurity governance in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for DOM's ITIM and Delivery Services functions.
• Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations, cloud services, and service desk activities.
• Manage vendor relationships, performance reviews, and contract renewals.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for major outages.
• Develop SOPs and security/compliance guidelines and ensure documentation quality.
• Prepare weekly status reports for IT leadership and governance committees.
