Job summary

Mississippi Division of Medicaid (DOM) is seeking a Contractor Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead enterprise cloud, networking, service desk, and governance initiatives. The role reports to the CIO/CTO and focuses on day-to-day management and modernization of the state's Medicaid technology environment.

The assignment spans cloud migrations, security/compliance with HIPAA/CMS policies, and rapid execution of modernization objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience with progressive information technology, including infrastructure.
• Experience managing enterprise cloud environments (AWS) including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, compliance frameworks, and IT governance in regulated environments.
• Experience with IT vendor management, contract oversight, and SOWs.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily IT infrastructure operations, ensuring availability and performance of enterprise systems and services.
• Coordinate DNS changes, firewall rules, and network access with IT teams.
• Lead incident response for major technology outages with root-cause analysis.
• Manage vendor relationships through regular status calls, performance reviews, and escalations.
• Develop SOPs and executive dashboards to communicate IT service health, risks, and compliance.
