Job summary

Travere Therapeutics in San Diego seeks an Executive Director, Clinical Development to lead nephrology programs in rare kidney diseases. You will shape development strategy, partner with Research, Regulatory, Biometrics, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Operations to advance multi-trial portfolios.

Reporting to the VP of Global Clinical Development, you will drive scientifically rigorous, patient-centered plans and ensure operational feasibility.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required; nephrology training preferred.
• 10+ years in clinical research or drug development with leadership in clinical strategy.
• Experience leading nephrology or rare disease programs is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall clinical development strategy for nephrology programs and trials.
• Design and oversee studies across phases including endpoints and dose selection.
• Partner with Regulatory, Biometrics, Medical Affairs and Commercial to align plans.
• Communicate across governance forums and senior leadership.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies across clinical, regulatory, and portfolio areas.
