Travere Therapeutics, Inc. in San Diego seeks an Executive Director of Clinical Development to lead nephrology trials in rare kidney diseases.

You will partner with Research, Regulatory, Biometrics, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to shape strategy and execution. Reporting to the VP Global Clinical Development, you will drive rigorous, patient-centered development plans, manage cross-functional teams, and contribute to governance decisions while traveling 20–25%

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required; advanced training in nephrology strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in clinical research or drug development required, including at least 5 years in a leadership role responsible for clinical development strategy.
• Prior experience leading clinical programs in nephrology, rare disease, or closely related areas strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead the overall clinical development strategy for assigned trials and contribute to indication strategy and lifecycle planning.
• Design and oversee trials across phases, including protocol concept, eligibility criteria, endpoints, and dose selection.
• Provide leadership for study conduct, protocol deviation review, and data interpretation.
