Job summary

Rolling Harvest Food Rescue seeks an Executive Director to lead mission-driven operations, fundraising, and community partnerships. The ED partners with the Board to advance strategy, oversee staff and volunteers, and ensure program excellence in food rescue and distribution.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, grant writing, and ensuring sound financial practices while championing nutrition education and food access in the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in nonprofit leadership with strategic planning and program oversight
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborations
• Experience in fundraising, grant writing, major gifts, and donor cultivation
• Financial management skills including budgeting and oversight
• Experience building partnerships with farmers and hunger-relief orgs

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership translating Board priorities into an actionable plan
• Oversee operations including programs, food rescue, and distributions; engage daily when needed
• Recruit, supervise, and support staff and a large volunteer base
• Lead fundraising efforts, donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, and events
• Manage relationships with partner farms and hunger-relief agencies across counties
• Oversee budget, finances, and governance reporting
• Serve as primary spokesperson with media and partners
