Rolling Harvest Food Rescue seeks an Executive Director to lead mission-driven operations, fundraising, and community partnerships. The ED partners with the Board to advance strategy, oversee staff and volunteers, and ensure program excellence in food rescue and distribution.
The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, grant writing, and ensuring sound financial practices while championing nutrition education and food access in the region.
New Hope, PA / Titusville, NJ, with travel throughout Bucks (PA), Hunterdon (NJ), Mercer (NJ), and Montgomery (PA) Counties
Since 2010, Rolling Harvest Food Rescue has connected local farms' fresh, healthy surplus produce to food- and nutrition-insecure residents throughout Bucks County, PA and neighboring counties. Through farm-based gleaning, produce rescue, growing, and distribution programs, Rolling Harvest partners with dozens of local growers and hunger-relief sites — including food pantries, community kitchens, shelters, and low-income senior housing — to deliver fresh produce free of charge. The organization also facilitates nutrition education and awareness of food insecurity, food waste, and sustainable agriculture. Rolling Harvest envisions an equitable, local, and sustainable food system in which abundant access to fresh, healthy food is a fundamental right, not a privilege.
The Executive Director (ED) is the chief executive officer of Rolling Harvest Food Rescue and works in partnership with the Board of Directors to advance the organization's mission. The ED provides strategic leadership, oversees daily operations, manages staff and volunteers, leads fundraising and development, and serves as the primary public face of the organization. This is an opportunity for a mission-driven leader to guide a well-established, respected grassroots nonprofit through its next stage of growth and impact.
Commitment to building an inclusive organization and working with a diverse community
