Community Options, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director of IDD Services to lead our residential operations in Binghamton, NY. The role oversees compliance, growth, budget and workforce development, with a focus on improving services for individuals with disabilities.

The candidate must reside in Broome County or be willing to relocate; starting salary is $80,000+ based on background and experience. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with five years of supervisory experience and a valid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with five years of related administrative/supervisory experience
• Master’s degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• Understanding of community-based support for persons with disabilities
• Knowledge of funding sources and entitlement programs for people with disabilities
• Strong public speaking and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure licensing compliance
• Form advisory board to support resource development
• Assess operational issues and implement solutions for quality service
• Identify policy improvements to increase efficiency
• Pursue grant and funding opportunities
• Lead fundraising activities for national mission
• Promote a positive public image and relationships with agencies
• Coordinate with local, state, and government bodies
• Help set long and short-term department goals and systems
• Ensure cooperation with licensing and inspections
