Job summary

Heart to Heart Hospice seeks an Executive Director to organize and direct agency operations, budgeting, strategic planning and regulatory compliance. You will lead interdisciplinary care and supervise management staff while driving performance improvement and service quality.

The role requires strong communication, executive presence and deep knowledge of hospice operations, Medicare benefits, and healthcare systems. A license or equivalent leadership background is valued.

Qualifications

• Be a licensed professional or have equivalent management/supervisory experience in a health-related setting.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and knowledge in hospice or healthcare operations and sales management.
• At least 3 years of progressive experience managing operations in healthcare, hospice preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct management personnel.
• Understanding of business processes and systems that support the healthcare industry.
• Experience in changing organizational processes to implement standard methods and practices.
• Must have outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with executive presence.
• Knowledge of business management and Medicare Hospice Benefit preferred.
• Experience with EMR/CRM software is a plus.
• Current State Driver's License, reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct the agency's ongoing functions, including operational and organizational planning, budgeting and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ensure interdisciplinary care is provided while ethical business and clinical practice are maintained.
• Direct staff in performance of duties including admission, discharge, transfer, revocation and provision of services to patients.
• Employ qualified personnel and ensure staff education and evaluation, including orientation and continuing education.
• Ensure appropriate staff supervision during all service hours and ensure support services are available to staff.
• Maintain knowledge of service systems in the community served and ensure services are approved by the hospice.
• Ensure agency operates in compliance with federal and state law.
• Manage conflict and complaint resolution.
• Implement and monitor budgeting and accounting to promote patient safety and financial stability.
• Evaluate program, services and personnel.
• Performance of other duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with laws, Medicare regulations and personnel policies.
