Job summary

Heartland Hospice is seeking an experienced RN to lead as Hospice Executive Director at our Fairview Heights location. You will oversee clinical operations, supervise interdisciplinary teams, ensure quality patient care, and drive census growth within regulatory standards.

The role requires a current RN license, at least one year of management experience, and hospice/home care background. Strong leadership, financial acumen, and communication will help you partner with the Governing Body and

Qualifications

RN with active license required (associates degree minimum).
BSN degree preferred.
Minimum one year of management/supervisory experience.
Two+ years in hospice/home care.
Meets state requirements for Administrator role.
Three+ years direct patient care experience preferred.
Three to five years healthcare sales/management experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of hospice regs and Medicare participation.
Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and interdisciplinary operations.
Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead hospice program with growth opportunity and accountable for clinical quality and census expansion.
Ensure compliance with accrediting/licensing agencies and applicable laws.
Direct HR, budgets, and office operations for the location.
Collaborate with Governing Body and partners to set performance goals.
Oversee staff education, orientation, and continuing education.
Monitor patient care quality and safety across assigned locations.
