Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director, Epic Applications to lead the enterprise Epic strategy, investment, and delivery. You will oversee Directors, senior managers, and Epic analysts across Acute Care, Ambulatory/Primary Care, Pharmacy, and Behavioral Health with accountability to CHIO and business-unit leadership.

You will drive governance, standardization, and modern Epic capabilities while managing risk, budgeting, and vendor relationships across the Epic portfolio.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive EHR/Epic experience, including build/design and leadership.
• Experience leading multi-tiered organizations in a large healthcare IT environment.
• Knowledge of Epic modules across Acute Care, Ambulatory/Primary Care, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health.
• Experience with ACO/ population health tech initiatives at enterprise scale.
• Proven track record delivering large, cross-functional programs with enterprise risk.
• Ability to present to C-suite, board, and physician executives.
• Epic certifications in one or more modules.
• Experience upgrading/optimizing Epic or leading go-lives as exec sponsor.
• Familiarity with interoperability standards and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, MU/Promoting Interoperability).

Responsibilities

• Lead Directors, senior managers, and Epic analysts across all Epic areas.
• Set staffing strategy and capability roadmap for enterprise Epic function.
• Own performance management, career development, and culture for the Epic organization.
• Serve as executive partner to CHIO and business-unit leadership.
• Oversee governance, designs, and enterprise architecture for Epic.
• Direct delivery for large-scale, cross-functional Epic projects.
• Translate business needs into actionable Epic roadmaps.
• Present portfolio status and risk to executives and board as needed.
