Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Center seeks a General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for a $35 million mission-based family and group retreat center serving ~150,000 guests annually. You will translate strategy into operational excellence, foster hospitality-driven service, and lead a high-performing team.

As part of the senior leadership team, you will manage daily operations, budgets, donor relations, capital projects, risk and safety, while maintaining a strong guest

Qualifications

• Ten years of senior leadership in hospitality, resort or large operations.
• Ability to communicate across organizational levels and manage up.
• Strategic thinker with strong daily operations engagement.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Background check requirements and adherence to YMCA values.

Responsibilities

• Manage Estes Park Center's daily ops with visible leadership; build guest/staff relationships and culture.
• Lead department heads, develop leaders, foster collaboration, set expectations, ensure performance and mission delivery.
• Build trust across the organization; advocate for Estes Park Center and maintain open staff communication.
• Lead financial and operational performance: budget, resources, efficiency, and stewardship of facilities and assets; balance sustainability with mission.
• Maintain donor and member relations; identify potential donors.
• Contribute to organizational strategy and long-range planning; translate priorities into center plans; set measurable goals and monitor progress.
• Serve as staff liaison for Buildings & Grounds, Land Use Committee.
• Lead center response to significant events through collaboration and decisive action.
• Represent YMCA of the Rockies to community, guests, donors and the Board.
• Maintain guest service and programming to deliver the mission to members, families, groups, youth, staff and volunteers.
• Plan and oversee capital building projects.
• Negotiate agreements with concessionaires with CEO/CFO approval.
• Oversee safety program and procedures for guests, staff and volunteers.
