Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking an experienced Principal Cyber Risk & Strategy Advisor to act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives at global enterprises. You will bridge technical controls and risk management, lead executive discovery, and shape strategic cyber roadmaps to maximize client security outcomes and market share.

You will influence CISOs, CIOs, and Boards, guiding multi-year data protection, compliance, and incident response programs while collaborating with Services Product Management,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a senior management consultant or enterprise security practitioner.
• Ability to translate risk into commercial services proposals for C-suite.
• Deep knowledge across DSPM, Enterprise DLP, Cloud CASB, ITM, and Incident Response.
• Strong understanding of global risk frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
• Proven track record influencing senior leaders and driving security programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic discovery sessions with enterprise clients to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities.
• Translate risk profiles into tailored solution roadmaps and proposals.
• Influence and engage with CISOs, CIOs, and board members on data protection and incident response programs.
• Collaborate with Services Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering to shape offerings.
• Maintain ongoing subject-matter leadership on SaaS protection and evolving threats.
