Job summary

Proofpoint seeks a Principal Cyber Risk & Strategy Advisor to guide executive risk programs for global enterprises. You will bridge technical controls with business risk, shaping strategic cyber roadmaps and high-value services for C-suite impact.

Lead discovery with CISOs and boards, influence product strategy, and drive market expansion while deepening DSPM, DLP, CASB, ITM and incident response expertise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of management consulting or enterprise leadership experience guiding data security programs.
• Strong commercial acumen and executive presence with a track record of influencing C-suite decisions.
• Expertise across DSPM, Enterprise DLP, CASB, Insider Threat Management, and Incident Response.
• Fluency in global risk frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
• Strategic market insight to identify service opportunities and manage regulatory risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic discovery sessions with enterprise clients and translate risk profiles into commercial service proposals.
• Advise CISOs, CIOs, and Boards on multi-year data protection, compliance, and incident response programs.
• Represent Proofpoint at executive roundtables, industry seminars, and trade shows to shape market perception.
• Collaborate with Services Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering to capture client insights and influence roadmap.
• Maintain deep expertise in SaaS protection, threat vectors, and regulatory landscapes to advise clients on defensive strategies.
