Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking an experienced Principal Cyber Risk & Strategy Advisor to serve as a high‑visibility leader in our enterprise services team. You will bridge technical controls with broad risk management, advising C‑level executives on data security and strategic roadmaps.

You will influence boards and leadership teams, translating risk into commercial services and helping shape Proofpoint’s growth in the enterprise market.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a senior consulting leader or enterprise practitioner overseeing data security programs.
• Exceptional ability to influence C-suite decisions and align security services with business goals.
• Deep knowledge of data security and risk domains, including DSPM, DLP, CASB, and ITM.
• Strong understanding of global risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic discovery sessions with enterprise clients and translate risk into service proposals.
• Advise CISOs/CIOs and boards on multi-year data protection and incident response programs.
• Represent Proofpoint at executive forums and industry events to share insights.
• Collaborate with product, marketing and engineering to shape security services roadmaps.
• Maintain expertise in evolving threat landscapes to guide client strategies.
