Job summary

Proofpoint seeks a Principal Cyber Risk & Strategy Advisor to guide executive discussions and shape high-value, enterprise-grade cyber risk services. You will bridge sophisticated controls with strategic risk management, influencing CISOs and boards while crafting multi-year security roadmaps.

With deep domain expertise across DSPM, DLP, CASB, ITM, and incident response, you will lead discovery sessions and translate client needs into tailored solutions that boost security outcomes and market

Qualifications

• 6+ years in high-level management consulting or enterprise security leadership.
• Ability to translate risk into commercial services proposals and roadmaps.
• Experience influencing C-suite and aligning security services with business goals.
• Deep knowledge across SaaS protection, threat intelligence, and data security domains.
• Fluency in global risk frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree and elite certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic discovery sessions with enterprise clients and translate risk into tailored service roadmaps.
• Influence C-suite executives and drive consensus on multi-year data protection programs.
• Represent Proofpoint at industry roundtables and events as a thought leader.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering to capture market insights and shape offerings.
• Maintain depth in threat vectors and evolving regulatory landscapes to advise clients.
