Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services leader to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering exemplary hospitality and service across communities. You will develop menus, supervise staffing standards, and oversee cost controls, vendor relations, and resident dining programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Sales/Marketing for events and adherence to food safety, with travel between communities as needed. Strong culinary leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
• 5 years of management experience in a food service environment.
• 5 years of culinary experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care communities.
• Must have completed food safety training.
• Ability to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Develops and assists with the creation of menu items and menu cycles.
• Assists with selection and training of menu software.
• Negotiates with vendors to insure best pricing, selection and service.
• Develop staffing standards for kitchen and dining service personnel.
• Provides standards and guidance for safe food handling and storage procedures.
• Trains and assists management staff for controlling raw food costs.
• Develop menu and service standards for each resident constituency.
