Job summary

Referment is seeking an attorney to advise on executive compensation and employee benefits within a global investment firm. You will join a small legal and compliance team supporting investment and commercial activities, including newer ventures.

The role combines specialist compensation work with close commercial partnership. You will structure, draft, and negotiate cash and equity arrangements, advise stakeholders on benefits, and help interpret complex legal requirements for the business.

Qualifications

Law degree and at least four years of executive-compensation and benefits experience.
Experience drafting complex executive-compensation arrangements for financial-services businesses.
Excellent legal analysis, drafting, negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Advise stakeholders on the legal and commercial aspects of executive compensation and employee-benefit matters.
Draft, review, analyse, and negotiate cash and equity compensation arrangements.
Support the design and operation of employee-benefit plans and related agreements.
Identify legal and regulatory issues and explain practical implications to non-specialists.
Work across investment-management and commercial activities, balancing legal analysis with business judgment.
Research adjacent legal questions arising from existing operations or new initiatives.
Manage sensitive information with accuracy and confidentiality.
