Job summary

WoodmenLife is seeking a Corporate Communications Strategist to lead our marketing communications strategy and associated plans, working closely with the CEO and senior leaders to shape executive messaging and enterprise-wide campaigns.

The role partners with divisions across the organization to develop and execute communications that support WoodmenLife's mission, values, and regulatory environment, while ensuring alignment with brand standards and digital channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field (Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, etc.)
• More than five years of experience in a similar role working with upper management
• Knowledge of media/public relations practices, communication theory, business requirements
• Experience in managing a communication plan including development and implementation

Responsibilities

• Works closely with the Director, Communication & PR developing communication plans and managing the execution of approved tactics for internal and external campaigns
• Collaborates with WoodmenLife's President & CEO to develop executive communication for Home Office Associates, Sales Force, and other stake holders
• Collaborates closely with other teams, departments and divisions to develop and execute communication strategies for enterprise-wide initiatives
• Collaborates with leadership to develop and deploy sophisticated and impactful communications strategies to support the company’s mission, vision and values
• Collaborates with other communications team members to strategize content ideas and opportunities
• Creates, writes, and distributes content as part of approved communication plan or strategy
• Liaises with vendors as required
• Collaborates with other Marketing team members to ensure alignment between communications and brand strategies, as well as brand standards
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
