Job summary

Trustmark Bank is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications leader to develop and implement strategies, policies and content for external communications while protecting the Trustmark brand. You will coordinate across print, digital platforms and social media, ensure compliance, and guide managers through the communication process; lead projects such as mergers and executive messaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business or related field.
• 8 years of communications or relevant experience.
• 8 years Project management experience.
• 5 years of financial industry experience.
• Previous experience managing people and teams.
• Strong communication skills with all levels of associates.
• Advanced written and oral communication; strong grammar and tone.
• Knowledge of financial industry regulatory processes.
• Attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate communication strategies, policies and procedures to ensure consistent branding and messaging across audiences.
• Manage external corporate messaging across print, digital media, website, social media and blogs with compliance in mind.
• Recommend distribution channels and coordinate with marketing delivery systems owners.
• Guide managers through Trustmark's communication process and serve as liaison between groups to facilitate information exchange.
• Develop and manage special communications projects (merger/acquisition communications, executive messages, branch openings/closures, etc.).
• Ensure approvals with Compliance and Legal; maintain crisis messaging library and relationships with vendors.
• Manage Crisis Communications delivery system and vendor relationships.
• Assist with internal communications as needed to educate and inform associates.
• Lead and develop associates through coaching/mentoring for productivity and growth.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
