Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, NJ seeks an experienced Executive Chef to lead our Signature Dining Program. This hands-on leader will develop a culinary team, create from-scratch menus, and uphold top food quality and presentation while fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.

The role oversees purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation, and plating, within budget guidelines, and includes opportunities for growth and education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Executive Chef experience.
• Fine dining experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of à la carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation and food presentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of food production within budget guidelines.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff to meet performance standards.
• Implement and maintain core menus and recipe management systems.
• Maintain sanitation standards and perform monthly audits.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP).
• Maintain high food quality and visual presentation.
• Engage residents with regular dining room visits and engagement meetings.
