Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, seeks an experienced Executive Chef to lead our Signature Dining Program. This hands-on leadership role inspires a culinary team, delivers chef-inspired, from-scratch cuisine, and creates innovative menus while upholding the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

You will manage operations across the kitchen, ensure sanitation and food safety, and engage residents through dining room visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Executive Chef experience.
• Fine dining experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ala carte and catering trends with focus on quality, cost controls and presentation.
• Proficient in PC software and POS systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of food production from purchasing to plate presentation within budget.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff ensuring performance standards.
• Implement and maintain core menus, recipes, and BOH systems.
• Ensure sanitation standards and monthly internal sanitation audits.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state food safety regulations.
• Engage residents through regular dining room visits and engagement meetings.
