Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a full-time Chef for Westminster St. Augustine in the World Golf Village, offering residents, team members and guests a high-quality dining program.

The role requires leadership to manage kitchen operations, oversee HAACP/sanitation programs, and support the dining services for a Life Plan Community. Candidates should have a 2-year culinary degree or higher, 6 years of high-volume hospitality experience, and Serv Safe certification (or obtain within

Qualifications

• Education: 2-Year Accredited Culinary Degree or College Degree in related subject; Specialized certification/degree at an approved culinary school; and 6 years similar experience in a high-volume, hospitality oriented environment.
• Serv Safe certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days from date of hire.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office; proficiency with data-base types of menu systems for forecasting, menu building and recipe creation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire operations of the kitchen(s).
• Oversee the purchase of food, supplies and equipment and adhere to budget objectives.
• Supervise meal preparation, presentation and quality by following recipes accurately.
• Perform food inventory and/or place orders as required.
• Ensure training, safety and discipline standards are met.
• Ensure kitchen staff comply with sanitation and food safety standards.
• Monitor operation of kitchen equipment and report failures.
