Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking an Executive Chef for Westminster St. Augustine, a premier Life Plan Community in the World Golf Village.

The Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, HACCP and sanitation, plan menus, supervise cooks, manage food costs and ensure high-quality dining for residents and guests. This is a full-time, on-site role with leadership responsibilities.

Strong culinary background, 6+ years in high-volume hospitality and ServSafe certification required.

Qualifications

• Education: 2-Year Accredited Culinary Degree or College Degree; Serv Safe certification required or obtainable within 90 days.
• Experience: 6 years similar experience in high-volume hospitality.
• Requirements: Ability to hold effective meetings; learn computer programs; work with dining services team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire operations of the kitchen(s).
• Oversee the purchase of food, supplies and equipment; adhere to budget objectives.
• Supervise meal preparation, presentation and quality by reproducing recipes accurately.
• Perform food inventory and place orders as required.
• Ensure training, safety and discipline standards are met; sanitation compliance.
• Monitor kitchen equipment operation and report failures to Director.
