Job summary

The Columbia Presbyterian Community is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary team, oversee food production quality, and manage purchasing, recipes, and sanitation. As part of the management team, you will ensure performance, cost control, and resident satisfaction.

Minimum education includes an Associates Degree with at least three years in a supervisory culinary role; ServSafe certification is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred for growth opportunities within senior living

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; ServSafe certification required.
• Three years in a supervisory culinary role.
• Strong planning, organizing, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service and operational excellence in quality and presentation.
• Plan and execute special events.
• Respond to guest meal surveys and identify areas for improvement.
• Visit dining areas to assess satisfaction levels.
• Ensure proper portions and minimize waste in food preparation.
• Deliver high quality, well-presented meals daily.
• Assist in production sheets, recipes, order books, and temperature logs.
• Develop menus to meet resident preferences, seasonal variances, and cost objectives.
• Maintain QA files and logs; ensure HACCP and infection control standards.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards with staff.
• Supervise culinary staff including cooks and utility workers.
