Job summary

Columbia Presbyterian Community is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary team, overseeing food production, purchasing, menu development, and sanitation to ensure top-quality meals for residents. This role supervises cooks and helpers, drives service excellence, and supports events and special menus.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree, 3+ years in a supervisory culinary role, and ServSafe certification, with preference for senior living experience and strong leadership and

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree required.
• Experience: 3 years in a supervisory culinary role.
• Skill: Proficiency in Microsoft software; strong planning, organizing, leadership and team management; ServSafe Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service and operational excellence in quality and presentation.
• Participate in planning and execution of special events.
• Respond to guest meal surveys and identify improvements.
• Visit dining areas to assess satisfaction levels and ensure quality.
• Ensure proper portions and oversee food preparation to minimize waste.
• Maintain HACCP and infection control standards; monitor safety with staff.
• Supervise culinary staff including cooks and utility workers.
