Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary and dining department across our senior living communities. You will oversee food costs, inventory, menu development, pricing, and staff leadership to ensure resident and guest satisfaction.

The role demands strong organizational and time-management skills, experience with MS Office, and proven ability to manage safety, sanitation, and catering events while delivering consistent, high-quality dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related culinary degree.
• Certified Executive Chef preferred.
• Minimum four years of industry and culinary management experience.
• Proven leadership abilities, commitment to customer service, and strong organization and time management skills.
• Experience with menu development and pricing.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Culinary labor, food and small ware financial management experience.

Responsibilities

• Achieve 100% resident satisfaction through plate presentation and taste; circulates dining rooms for feedback.
• Establish presentation techniques and ensure quality standards.
• Hire, coach, train, inspire and direct culinary staff; manage scheduling and reviews.
• Develop Sous Chef and Lead Cook for leadership duties.
• Direct responsibility for food control, labor costs, menu engineering and recipe standardization.
• Oversee equipment operation, safety and sanitation policies.
• Oversee catering events and demonstrate culinary techniques.
• Promote positive relations with residents, families and guests; support a team environment.
• Function as Manager on Duty as scheduled with site leadership.
