Job summary

Westin Hotels & Resorts on Hilton Head Island is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead the daily kitchen operations and drive guest satisfaction. You will personally perform tasks while directing staff, manage all food-related functions, and oversee multiple outlets to ensure high-quality results and financial performance.

The role requires a culinary leadership background with strong sanitation, safety, and staff development skills, plus experience in budgeting and purchasing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 6 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen management team and provide day-to-day direction for all kitchen operations.
• Oversee all food preparation areas and support areas to ensure high-quality production.
• Develop staff, set performance standards, and monitor performance.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are maintained across all outlets.
• Manage menu development, quality control, and presentation of dishes.
• Monitor and control food costs, purchasing, and equipment usage.
